Manage Building Security While Working from Home

- As businesses mandate work-from-home policies, managers are having to audit access history remotely to ensure that only authorized users are entering their workspace.
- Properties and organizations are modifying door schedules and lock down access rights to shared spaces like fitness centers, game rooms and meeting areas.
- Security staff who have been asked to remain working on-location are frustrated and concerned for their own health or for children needing care at home. Outsourcing remote video surveillance of existing on-premise cameras allows teleworking while keeping spaces secure.
- In cases when an employee or visitor has been diagnosed with COVID-19, clients may request audits of access history to determine when the individual entered a location and who else was there at the time, in order to notify others at risk and potentially limit the spread of virus.
- Economic uncertainty is forcing some businesses to consider staff reductions. As a result, many are seeking to connect their HRIS database with their access control system to more efficiently manage credentials and immediately revoke access rights of impacted staff –all to avoid potential incidents with disgruntled individuals.

Security is important whether you're at home or at the office, At home you try to keep your company information secure, Turn off you Siri and Alexa. At the Office you still have physical Security needs, keeping the office physically secure. Ask your Security staff to also watch for water leaks at the floor or at the ceiling. They can be another good set of eye and eras while you are not able to be there.
