This event addresses the problems of affordable housing for low-income homeowners by revitalizing and preserving their homes. This includes repairing low income, owner occupied housing, enabling older adults, individuals living with disabilities, and veterans to remain in their homes safely and independently. This will be rehabilitating and revitalizing up to 30 homes on several blocks in the Lindsay Heights neighborhood.

This year SEW IFMA has partnered with Mortenson and WasteCap to put together teams to participate in the repairing of these homes.  This service opportunity runs over a Friday and Saturday.  We will have 2 shifts set-up each day, 7:45am-12:00pm and 12:00pm-4:00pm.  Feel free to sign up for one or multiple shifts. Dress accordingly, we work rain or shine.  Bring water bottles and heavy duty work gloves.
